ASCII Art

After looking at the ascii art I realized how complex this type of art is.  It basically takes little pictures and puts them together to form a bigger picture.  There are so many different styles of art out there and I think this is one of the coolest ones.  Just by looking at a picture you can tell it takes a lot of attention to detail to get the placement right.  I clicked on the airplanes- airplanes- aircraft section and there are a lot of different types formed into pictures.  There is a really cool picture of an A-10 Thunderbolt II that looks exactly like a real one.  The whole picture is made out of the symbols: [ ] ( ) _ - / \ | ^ * $ : o.  I must have taken a lot of thought to get each symbol in the correct spot to make an exact replica of this type of plane.  I googled ASCII art and one picture that showed up that intrigued me was a picture of Jennifer Aniston.  From zoomed out it just looks like a plain self portrait of her that is done in black and white.  After I zoomed

Electronics- Kindle 21 century invention

Emily Proffitt Electronics Assignment October 16, 2017 In 2007, the world was changed when Amazon released their first ever e-reader, the Kindle.  The Kindle has largely impacted society by being able to carry hundreds of books, magazines, and newspapers in just one tiny device that is equivalent to one printed book.  Ever since the kindle was released ebook sales have skyrocketed while actual paper book sales are decreasing.  The kindle was sold out within the first six hours it went on the market, and while it faces some competitors out there, such as the Nook or the Apple iPad, it remains the most popular.   According to the Association of American Publishers, e-books consisted of 6.4 percent of the total books being sold.  However, in 2011 e-books popularity increased and represented one fifth of all total books being sold.  As a result, all physical books sales dropped twenty percent, making e-book sales rise to 117 percent.  One reason that the kindle is the most popul

Flip book animation

Image
This is my flip book animation.  It is hard to tell what is happening because I could not get it to flip smoothly.  It starts off with a stick figure and then another little stick figure, carrying a wand comes in and casts a spell to the other one.  It then causes him to shrink and go in the air to do a flip.  Then the wand stick figure comes back in a casts another spell that causes the other stick figure to grow really big.

Broadway Clips

I loved watching the various different broadway clips.  I've personally seen Wicked on broadway before and I absolutely loved it.  The actor and actresses voices were amazing and everything went so smoothly.  You never realize how much work goes into putting on a show but if you think about it theres a lot to prepare for.  The costumes have to be made, the choreography have to be taught and learned, the makeup has to be done, lighting has to be perfect, and so much more. I liked watching the "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" clips the most.  Christmas songs are very happy and reminded me the that time of the year.  I personally liked the Michael Buble one because he has a very nice voice and there was not too much happening on stage.  He just stood there and sung the song which is different from the "Meet me in St. Louis" clip because there are many different singers and dancers and the stage is very busy the whole time. I watched all The Color Purple
