Final Video

https://youtu.be/HImZnAqYRcQ  This is a bunch of videos of my dog, Macie.  I started off with videos of her as a puppy then I used videos of her grown up.  I tried my best to use iMovie but the only thing I could do was to put different filters on each video then add music to the back ground.

Performance Art

For my performance art piece, my group, decided to build a snowman in the middle of plant park.  Being that we are in Florida, which never gets any snow, this would draw a lot of attention to us.  We sat on the group and took white plastic cups and stapled them together to get the three snowman balls.  One of the girls I was working with has never had the opportunity to build a snowman.  However, me being from Delaware, which gets snow constituently through January and February, I've build plenty of snowmen.  We got a lot of weird looks from people as they walked by and wondered what we were doing.  One women even came up to us and asked if this was for a class.  Our three influences for this piece were : Gilbert & George - The Singing Sculpture  which is an 8 hour singing sculpture performance. I like how they took the a idea of a sculpture which is an inanimate object and made it live. Stelarc's "Ear on Arm"  sculpture and project. Stelarc had several art piece

Music Blog

The first musical movement piece I will pick is the nineties.  The band Red Hot Chili Peppers released a lot of their music during this time.  Even though the band formed in 1983, one my favorite songs, Scar Tissue, was released in 1999.  As far as technology goes, the cymbals are clearly heard during this song as a steady pace.  During the nineties the drums and cymbals were very popular.  My next musical movement is hardcore.  For this category I choose the band Kiss.  Their appearance appears very hardcore with all their notable face makeup, hairstyles, and clothes they wear.  The technology, the sharp and loud sounds their guitars make, fits them into this category.  Also, their singing with their screaming voices.  For the girl power category, I choose Beyonce.  A lot of her songs revolve around women and feminism and speaking about how women have control over their own life.  The technology she uses is all modern because she is currently still making music.  I chose her becau

Xerox Assignment

Image
For this assignment I photocopied my hair.  I braided it into two parts and I made it into a heart design when I put it on the copy machine.  After that I copied it seven times and made it into a flower design.  Each heart is a pedal of the flower.  There are two shapes in this projects.  My inspiration came from many pictures on the internet of celebrities making shapes out of their hair in cool designs.  My hair was long enough to do the same so I took advantage.  The dimensions of this projects is exactly 3 feet by 3 feet.

30x30 art

Image
This is a 30x30 perler bead project.  My inspiration for this project was colors.  I really like it when colors are organized and you can tell exactly what they are.  I love all the different shades of colors and wanted to find a way to display them.  The clear in between each different color is to really emphasize that each color is its own.

ASCII Art

After looking at the ascii art I realized how complex this type of art is.  It basically takes little pictures and puts them together to form a bigger picture.  There are so many different styles of art out there and I think this is one of the coolest ones.  Just by looking at a picture you can tell it takes a lot of attention to detail to get the placement right.  I clicked on the airplanes- airplanes- aircraft section and there are a lot of different types formed into pictures.  There is a really cool picture of an A-10 Thunderbolt II that looks exactly like a real one.  The whole picture is made out of the symbols: [ ] ( ) _ - / \ | ^ * $ : o.  I must have taken a lot of thought to get each symbol in the correct spot to make an exact replica of this type of plane.  I googled ASCII art and one picture that showed up that intrigued me was a picture of Jennifer Aniston.  From zoomed out it just looks like a plain self portrait of her that is done in black and white.  After I zoomed

Electronics- Kindle 21 century invention

Emily Proffitt Electronics Assignment October 16, 2017 In 2007, the world was changed when Amazon released their first ever e-reader, the Kindle.  The Kindle has largely impacted society by being able to carry hundreds of books, magazines, and newspapers in just one tiny device that is equivalent to one printed book.  Ever since the kindle was released ebook sales have skyrocketed while actual paper book sales are decreasing.  The kindle was sold out within the first six hours it went on the market, and while it faces some competitors out there, such as the Nook or the Apple iPad, it remains the most popular.   According to the Association of American Publishers, e-books consisted of 6.4 percent of the total books being sold.  However, in 2011 e-books popularity increased and represented one fifth of all total books being sold.  As a result, all physical books sales dropped twenty percent, making e-book sales rise to 117 percent.  One reason that the kindle is the most popul
